Position Summary:

Join our team as a full-time, 1st shift Master Scheduler, to contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional products that surpass customer expectations. In this role, you will coordinate production operations across various processes, ensuring efficient resource utilization and timely product delivery. Your responsibilities will include creating production schedules, monitoring workflow, analyzing data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with Manufacturing Supervisor to prioritize production activities and allocate resources effectively.
  2. Develop production schedules to meet delivery deadlines and optimize resource utilization.
  3. Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes in demand or resource availability.
  4. Liaise with purchasing staff to understand lead times for outside suppliers and vendors, ensuring alignment with production schedules.
  5. Review job requirements to ensure customer specifications are understood and met.
  6. Coordinate with Manufacturing Supervisor to expedite shipment dates when necessary, in alignment with Operations Manager directives.
  7. Respond promptly to production issues, exercising judgment to determine appropriate actions within defined procedures.
  8. Foster cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Manufacturing, and Purchasing teams to ensure alignment and customer satisfaction.
  9. Analyze production data to identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend necessary changes.
  10. Participate in production meetings to provide scheduling insights and ensure adherence to timelines.
  11. Maintain accurate records of production schedules, inventory, and supply chain information.
  12. Act as the primary owner of JobBOSS Scheduling (MRP) and Workstation Driver activities, including training, monitoring, and reporting.
  13. Assist leadership in determining staffing levels required to meet production schedules.


Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in production scheduling or manufacturing planning within a subcontract manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in CNC manufacturing techniques, inventory management, and supply chain operations.
  • Strong understanding of outside supplier/vendor services and their impact on planning.
  • Excellent math, computer, and software skills, with experience in ERP systems preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
  • Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and work with urgency as needed.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on process optimization and efficiency improvement.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred, or associate's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with JobBOSS Scheduling (MRP) is advantageous.
