Art Handler

We are seeking an experienced art handler to join our expanding transportation and installation department. 

From picking up incoming artwork and antiques, to packing, delivery and installation, the role will be an active part of the art community, and a valued member of our team. Our art handling team handles, packs, transports, and installs artwork for a numerous clientele, both locally and nationwide. Through our multiple studios, creative staff and varied clientele (collectors, designers, museums, corporate offices, etc), no day is the same, and there are always interesting projects to handle and install.

The candidate must have the ability to:

• install artwork using a variety of hardware on variable surfaces
• safely handle fine art, antiques and furniture
• pack artwork for transport
• have a clean driving record and drive a box truck
• troubleshoot onsite and work directly with clients
• availability for occasional travel
• be flexible in a fast-paced environment shifting timelines
• work with the sales team to maintain the installation schedule and navigate projects
• work independently and as part of a team

Ideal candidates will demonstrate the following qualities:

-understanding of handling fine art and antiques

-picture framing experience/knowledge is a plus

-proactive, with high attention to detail

-ability to multitask

-great interpersonal skills and enjoys working with others

-motivated, ability to flourish with minimal guidance

-has a friendly demeanor and is presentable

-a clean driving record is a must

This is a full-time position with benefits, the hours are flexible. Compensation is based on experience.
