Junior Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is in search of a Junior Accountant. As a Junior Accountant, you will play a vital role in our client’s finance department, focusing on project billing and financial administration. You will work closely with their accounting team to ensure accurate and timely billing processes for various projects. This position offers an excellent opportunity for career growth and development in the field of accounting. This is a direct hire opportunity that will be fully onsite in the Elgin area.

Responsibilities:

• Generate and review project invoices in accordance with client contracts and billing schedules.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate and timely billing of project expenses and deliverables.
• Maintain billing records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
• Assist in reconciling accounts receivable and resolving billing discrepancies.
• Provide support to the accounting team in month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Assist with financial reporting and analysis as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance role preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience in project billing is a preferred but not required.
