Site Reliability Engineer – Cloud & AutomationLocation: Chicago Visa Sponsorship: Not available A technology-driven organization is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to support and enhance the reliability of its next-generation platform. The role focuses on automation, cloud infrastructure, and system performance. Key Responsibilities:Ensure availability and reliability of large-scale distributed systems.Develop automation to improve incident response and reduce operational toil.Collaborate with teams to monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize production services.Mentor junior team members and contribute to team improvements. Required Skills & Experience:4+ years in SRE or DevOps roles.Experience with cloud environments (AWS preferred, Azure or GCP acceptable).Programming/scripting in Java, Python, Bash, or Go.Familiarity with containers, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools.Experience with LLM/AI-assisted automation and basic Chaos Engineering concepts.Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills. Education:Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.This is an ideal opportunity for a proactive engineer passionate about cloud infrastructure, automation, and operational excellence.
