Maintenance Mechanic

We are working with an established food manufacturing company based in Albert Lea, MN. They are recruiting for a Maintenance Mechanic to join their team on Days (Mon-Fri) in return for an hourly rate of $23.62-$32/hour DOE, along with excellent employment benefits which include 401K, Healthcare, Vision and Dental, PTO, and Life Insurance.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Uses mechanical skills including but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of equipment in accordance with established GMP and safety procedures
• Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. Calls for back up and coordinates repairs with other mechanics
• Installs, repairs, overhauls, modifies and maintains electrical and mechanical systems, equipment, and machinery
• Performs required routine preventative maintenance and repair activities when not working on breakdowns
• Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electrical, electronic, and mechanical components throughout the facility
• Responsible for following all food safety policies, procedures and regulatory criteria including the current SQF code, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and associated preventive controls
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience required:

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
• 1-3 years of experience working with and troubleshooting PLCs, AC/DC electrical troubleshooting on food packaging/processing equipment and production/processing machine repair
• Waste water, boiler or ammonia experience required to qualify for $30+/hour

This position is commutable from; Albert Lea, Rochester, Owatonna, Northwood, Mankato, Minneapolis, Iowa, Fort Dodge, Charles City, Cresco and Lake Mills.
