Hourly Rate: $25-35 / Hour, Depending on experience

Responsibilities

• Support Attorneys on basic personal injury cases
• Draft, edit, finalize, and file pleadings, motions, and other court documents
• Manage litigation deadlines and maintain case calendars
• Coordinate all stages of discovery, conduct legal research, and summarize findings
• Assist in trial prep, including organizing exhibits, creating trial binders, coordinating witnesses, and preparing documents/exhibits for mediations and court hearings/trials
• Communicate with clients, witnesses, experts, and opposing counsel to support case development in addition maintaining accurate and up-to-date case files
• Prepare settlement documents, lien resolutions, and other case-related documents
• Support attorneys with admin. tasks related to case management and trial preparation

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in litigation
• Must know the local court rules and state court rules
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A team player who values a supportive, collegial work environment and is eager to contribute to the firm’s culture of excellence and service

Bonus Experience

• A paralegal certification
• Personal injury litigation experience
• Familiarity with case management software, especially SmartAdvocate
• Multilingual abilities are highly valued
