Senior Data Analyst / Business Process Innovation Analyst

The Senior Data Analyst will gather, compile, and analyze data needed to identify trends and patterns, then make recommendations for business actions to improve the organizations’ operational efficiencies, quality, service, and profitability. The Senior Data Analyst will take a proactive approach in conducting data analytics to provide information, insights, and change recommendations to company stakeholders.The Senior Data Analyst will report to the Vice President of FP&A.


Company Background

Since 1989, CDE Services has provided innovative Point of Sale (POS) support and processing solutions to electronic payment providers and their merchants. In 2014, the Company began to offer a quick and easy solution to small bodegas, grocery, and convenience stores for EBT/SNAP payment processing. CDE established itself as an industry leader early on by providing a high-quality service and simple implementation, combined with a flat monthly price. Understanding market challenges led us to focus on investing in new processes and technologies. CDE began providing an upgraded payment solution allowing our merchants the ability to accept additional/new payment technologies. CDE now processes more than 12 different payment methods in a single device. By investing in new proprietary payment applications and adding expert payment talent, we continue to improve our payment solutions for new emerging markets. EF&A DEPARTMENT – FINANCE DIVISION

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Use statistical methods, modeling, analytical methodologies, and data analysis to develop and deploy tools including dashboards, infographics, reports, and models to inform and support decision-making.

Implement data standards and deploy automation tools to extract, synthesize, and validate data from different sources and transform data into usable metrics.

Construct data sets, monitor data quality, troubleshoot, and resolve database issues to ensure data integrity.

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand needs, objectives, and requirements.

Support and contribute to internal business analytics projects and processes to provide data-driven insights used to advise on and develop strategies for operational improvements and future business initiatives.

Mine, process, and analyze internal and external data using KPIs, business results, industry sources, and customer information.

Develop an understanding of the business model, objectives, issues, and challenges by interacting and collaborating with users and stakeholders.

Manage the flow of information between departments through the use of relational databases.

Maintain data integrity by working to eliminate redundancy.

Stay informed of ways the organization uses its data.

Use knowledge of end-to-end data processes to analyze, cleanse, and enrich master data elements, and ensure that data flows efficiently and consistently between users and stakeholders.

Provide data governance and ensure data integrity by coordinating data management efforts across the organization.

Troubleshoot issues related to master data management and identify opportunities for improving data management processes.

Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications & Skills

Ability to manage databases and understand technology-driven business intelligence tools.

Expert ability to analyze information and think systematically.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Extremely organized with great attention to detail.

Strong business analysis skills.

Works well independently and as part of a team.

Thorough understanding of company business processes and the industry at large.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.


Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, Accounting, or Computer Science or equivalent work experience required; Master’s degree preferred.

5+ years’ experience in data processing, with at least 2 years’ experience with database management systems.

Strong understanding of Domo Business Intelligence Software.

Must be able to meet in-office work requirements.
