We are currently recruiting for an Underwriting Operations Specialist / Sales Support in Miami, FL (Brickell office). Hybrid schedule (in-office 2 days - remote 3 days a week). This is a great opportunity to join a growing operations team. The Operations Specialist is responsible for providing administrative support and continuous improvement to the business unit, underwriters and brokers in Corporate Protection / Crisis Management specialty lines of insurance. 60K – 70K Base + Bonus + Benefits Package.


Responsibilities:

  • Processing of submissions, quotes, binders, maintenance, loss-runs and other administrative work, meeting established SLAs.
  • Provide high quality service and operational support to underwriting teams and brokers, ensuring quality, consistency and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain document templates and process template change requests.
  • Assist with embedding regulatory controls and producing necessary reporting.
  • Build strong knowledge of the business and all processes and systems involved.
  • Champion operational best practice, identifying opportunities for improvements in process, service, quality, and time taken to complete tasks, and participating in solution design.
  • privacy or disclosure of information that is highly sensitive.
  • Assist in projects as needed.


Requirements:

  • A strong academic background and/or strong relevant business experience.
  • 2-3 years experience working in a corporate environment
  • Excellent analytical skills, technical savvy, including strong proficiency with MS Office
  • Demonstrate high quality administrative and organizational skills.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and develop, with a strong desire to undertake additional responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, with confidence to build relationships at all levels, and ask questions to ensure requirements are understood.
  • Strives for service excellence, with superb attention to detail and strong commitment to quality.
  • Consistently meets service levels and takes personal ownership of work, prioritizing and organizing workload to meet tight deadlines.
  • Able to work under pressure and manage needs and demands of various stakeholders.
  • Solve challenges using own initiative to explore solutions before asking for answers.
  • Proactive, pre-empting issues and demonstrating a willingness to learn about the wider business / products.
  • Spanish language knowledge a plus
