Senior Nutanix Engineer

3+ month contract

100% Remote


Our client specializes in oil and gas well drilling and related services for exploration and production companies worldwide. They are seeking a Nutanix Engineer who can assist in the migration from VMWare to AHV.


Responsibilities

  • Migrate from VMWare to AHV, so nights and weekends to monitor migrations will be required some. (Nutanix AHV is a modern and secure virtualization platform that powers VMs and containers for applications and cloud-native workloads.)
  • Design, build, manage, and operate the infrastructure and configuration of container platforms with a focus on automation and infrastructure-as-code is preferred.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Nutanix products and solutions, providing technical guidance and support to internal and external stakeholders.


Qualifications

  • Native Cloud experience building, deploying, and managing modern applications in cloud computing environments is preferred.
  • Expertise in Linux/Windows Systems Administration, Networking, and Storage
  • Proficiency in Nutanix enterprise cloud platform and its components, including Acropolis Operating System (AOS) and Prism management.
  • Deep understanding of virtualization concepts and experience with Nutanix AHV hypervisor, including VM creation, management, and migration.
