This role involves overseeing and coordinating the activities of personnel responsible for receiving, storing, transporting, shipping, and inventory management of products. The individual will manage workflow and schedules, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and accurately, with a focus on maintaining safety and operational standards.


Key Responsibilities


- Develop work procedures, organize schedules, and facilitate workflow, making adjustments as needed to meet project requirements and workforce availability.

- Assign tasks and inspect work to ensure adherence to policies and procedures, addressing any issues related to order picking, shipping documentation, or inventory management.

- Guide employees on the handling of goods, equipment usage, and problem-solving.

- Maintain safety standards and ensure the workspace remains clean and organized.

- Coordinate with managers and supervisors to ensure that production and shipping timelines are met.

- Collaborate with different departments to ensure smooth coordination of warehouse operations.

- Communicate with carriers to manage pick-up schedules and address any follow-up needs.

- Oversee temporary workers from staffing agencies, monitoring performance, guiding them through tasks, and making recommendations for future employment decisions.


Qualifications


- High school diploma or GED required, with at least five years of experience in a supervisory or lead role in a warehouse setting.

- Proficiency with Excel and familiarity with Warehouse or Yard Management Systems is preferred.
