Overview

The Electrical Superintendent will oversee the electrical aspects of solar installation projects in commercial, industrial, and community solar sectors. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, project management skills, and the ability to lead a team of electricians and technicians to ensure the safe and efficient installation of solar energy systems.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Supervise the installation of solar electrical systems (commercial & industrial) from conception through completion.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and codes during installation processes.
  • Manage and lead a team of electricians and technicians, providing guidance and support.
  • Conduct training sessions for new employees and ongoing training for existing staff.
  • Monitor the quality of work performed by the installation team to ensure it meets industry standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to assess progress and compliance.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to address concerns and provide updates on project status.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including daily logs and project reports.
  • Prepare and submit necessary documentation for permits and inspections.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any electrical issues that arise during installation.
  • Implement solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.


Qualifications:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications or degrees preferred.
  • Proven experience in electrical work, specifically in solar energy systems.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Proficient in using various tools and software related to solar installations.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
