Responsibilities

  • Provides advanced technical electrical expertise at all aspects of product development life cycle
  • Provides project technical leadership for large, complex, and multi-disciplinary projects mentoring and providing technical guidance to others
  • Contributes to continuous improvement through recommending, and implementing process or technical improvements
  • Design, develop, test, and debug electronic circuits for customer products, navigating or developing their specific requirements and features in collaboration with customer needs
  • Design for EMI/EMC
  • Collaborate with other product development disciplines to design and develop high quality, highly reliable, and easily maintainable electronics/hardware/systems
  • Conduct and participate in electronic hardware circuit design reviews
  • Develop thorough customer design documentation and perform document feasibility and verification tests
  • Develop and execute test procedures
  • Provide technical support during feasibility and prototype phases of product development
  • Execute tasks and communicate status according to project budget and schedule
  • Recommend specific opportunities for technology, tools, and process improvement
  • Develop accurate project effort estimates for customer proposals or project scope changes through mapping out the steps to implement architecture per design
  • Influence and/or lead internal hardware processes and standards
  • Provides technical leadership for large, complex, and multi-disciplinary projects
  • Mentors and serves as a technical resource to other engineers
  • Expands influence beyond technical responsibilities in at least some of the following areas, providing technical insight to leadership, cultivating customer or partnership relationships, writing research papers or technical grant proposals
