Lead Low-latency C++ Engineer - Prop Trading ~$750k


HFT client is hiring a lead C++ engineer to spearhead the exchange connectivity for their newly built FPGAA accelerated trading system, capable of meeting nanosecond "tick to trade" targets.


Role:

You will be tasked with leading your own team in the design, implementation, and deployment of their next-generation market connectivity framework, delivering a scalable high-throughput, low-latency C++ platform.

  • 60% Hands-on coding and systems design
  • 40% Project management and team management


Team Responsibilities:

Your team will be tasked with working on all aspects of the trading system

  • Write a lot of asynchronous, template, and thread-safety code
  • Develop highly optimized market access and market data solutions, ensuring reliable, deterministic event streams for quantitative research
  • Create extendable frameworks for seamless expansion into emerging markets, including crypto
  • Collaborate closely with traders and quants to identify critical problems and guide innovation efforts


Requirements:

  • 7+ Years experience working on Low Latency Trading Systems capable of executing trades in microseconds or even nanoseconds.
  • Excellent Low-latency C++
  • Bachelor in Computer Science or Similar


Budget: ~$750k (as always, this is negotiable)
