As a Denim Costing Expert, your role will be crucial in ensuring accurate and competitive pricing for denim products. You will work closely with the production team, suppliers, and clients to analyze costs, negotiate pricing, and provide cost estimates for denim manufacturing.


Responsibilities:


1. Analyze Costs: Conduct detailed analysis of raw materials, labor costs, overheads, and other expenses associated with denim production. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality.


2. Cost Estimation: Provide accurate cost estimates for each stage of the production process including fabric sourcing, cutting and sewing operations, finishing processes, packaging materials etc.


3. Supplier Negotiation: Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate favorable pricing terms while maintaining high-quality standards. Evaluate supplier proposals and ensure they align with budgetary requirements.


4. Pricing Strategy: Develop pricing strategies that consider market trends, competition analysis and target profit margins while ensuring competitiveness in the denim industry.


5. Cost Optimization: Continuously identify areas of opportunity to optimize costs throughout the production cycle by implementing efficient processes or exploring alternative sourcing options.


6. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams such as design & development teams to provide insights on costing implications during product development stages.


7. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of costing data including supplier quotations, price negotiations summaries etc., and generate reports as needed for management review.


Requirements:


- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.

- Proven experience as a Denim Costing Expert or similar role within the textile industry.

- Strong knowledge of denim manufacturing processes including fabric sourcing techniques.

- Proficiency in analyzing cost structures and preparing detailed cost estimates.

- Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing from suppliers.

- Ability to work collaboratively across departments to achieve common goals.

- Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical abilities.

- Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
