Position Overview: 

We are seeking a Business System Analyst to join our dynamic team.  

 

We are looking for individuals who possess a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for technology.  

 

In short, we need to maximize our current technology applications and determine if/when we need to build, buy, or partner to be a leading, best-in-class, efficient and effective organization.  

 

The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, identifying areas for improvement, then designing efficient and effective systems and workflows to enhance overall business performance. 

 

In addition, you will enhance our reporting and analytics to better track and share team performance on the KPI’s that matter.

Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives, processes, and requirements. 

 

  • Work with IT vendor partners to translate business requirements into technical specifications. 

 

  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technology, ensuring clear communication, buy-in, and utilization. 

 

  • Analyze current systems/processes, identify trends, make recommendations for modernization and improvements as it relates to people, process, and technology. 

 

  • Assist with the modification and configuration of systems to meet business needs and stakeholder’s requirements. 

 

  • Participate in the design, development, and implementation of new systems and enhancements. 

 

  • Responsible for applications development, conversion, installation and/or maintenance. 

 

  • Design and edit routine application workflows to enhance business processes. 

 

  • Gathers, compiles, and produces relevant business analytics on departmental performances including production of Performance Metrics. 

 

  • Develop customized reports to respond to user requirements 

 

  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to our industry. 

 

  • Provide training and support to end-users. 

 


Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. 

 

  • Proven experience as a Business System Analyst or similar role, with a minimum of [insert number] years of experience. 

 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels. 

 

  • Solid understanding of business processes, workflow analysis, and system design principles. 

 

  • Demonstrated ability in the development of dashboards and visualization of data, to drive the creation of comprehensive and meaningful metrics for reporting to various leadership and operational teams. 

 

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Systems, Information Technology, or related field. 
  • Experience working in a business services or event firm. 
  • Knowledge of Event Management systems (e.g. Cvent) and CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot). 
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau).

LOCATION DYNAMICS

There will be flexibility as to where this Business Systems Analyst can live but preference will be given to candidates from the Fairfield County area. Our staff has been back at work in the Southport, CT headquarters office at least 3 days per week (hybrid of in-person and work-from-home).
