The SpaDerma brand is highly creative, youthful and innovative. In order to enhance our brand we are seeking a Creative Director who will lead a team of four individuals and spearhead our creative efforts to set us apart from competitors. The primary responsibility will be to ensure that all creative elements are cohesive, visually stunning, and effectively drive conversions. From email campaigns to in-spa displays, the Creative Director’s vision will shape our brand identity and enhance our market presence.


We seek a self-driven individual capable of translating data into compelling narratives, effectively communicating ROI to senior management. This entrepreneurial role demands cross-functional collaboration to redefine SpaDerma's identity, growth trajectory, and messaging coherence. Success in this leadership position not only fosters revenue growth across our locations and online platforms but also paves the way for expanding our marketing team and venturing into sister brands like The Collective, dedicated to industry education and community collaboration.


Responsibilities:


  • Strategic Vision: Develop and articulate a creative vision that aligns with our brand identity and business objectives.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire our marketing team to produce high-quality work that exceeds expectations.
  • Brand Cohesion: Ensure consistency across all creative assets, maintaining a cohesive and recognizable brand image.
  • Design Excellence: Oversee the creation of visually stunning materials for email marketing, SMS campaigns, photoshoots, in-spa displays, print pieces, merchandise, and paid social media ads.
  • Competitive Differentiation: Identify opportunities to differentiate our brand from competitors through innovative design and messaging.
  • Conversion Optimization: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop creative strategies that drive conversions, attract new patients and increase revenue.
  • Creative Direction: Provide clear direction and feedback to internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of creative projects.
  • Project Management: Map out timelines, delegate as needed and ensure the team completes projects in a timely manner.
  • Execution as Needed: Create assets and complete projects alongside the team. 
  • Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends and consumer preferences to inform creative decisions and stay ahead of the curve.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and operations, to ensure alignment and integration of creative efforts.
  • Present to Senior Management: Effectively communicate key KPIs related to the department's initiatives.


Qualifications:


  • Proven experience as a Creative Director or similar role, preferably in the beauty or wellness industry.
  • Experience leading Direct Marketing initiatives and campaigns; creative, execution, measurement and synthesis.
  • Experience with digital marketing channels and platforms, including email marketing, social media, paid advertising, and website design.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Exceptional design and branding expertise, with a portfolio showcasing innovative and impactful work.
  • Deep understanding of marketing principles and strategies, with a focus on driving conversions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively convey ideas and feedback.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and a passion for pushing boundaries and exploring new ideas.
  • Bachelor’s degree in design, marketing, or a related field. Additional certifications or training in design and branding are a plus.


Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as graphic design, visual arts, marketing, advertising, or communications. A degree in business with a focus on marketing or design may also be applicable.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in a creative role, preferably in the beauty, wellness, or healthcare industry.
  • 2+ years of experience in marketing leadership roles
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and knowledge of web design tools and platforms.
