Are you passionate about creating exceptional dining experiences? Alma Cocina Latina—a celebrated Venezuelan restaurant in Baltimore’s Station North—is looking for a Food Expeditor to join our vibrant team. As Expeditor, you’ll be the heartbeat of the kitchen, orchestrating smooth, joyful service from the kitchen to the dining room. You’ll bridge the culinary and guest-facing teams through bi-lingual communications. In this role, you'll ensure dishes move swiftly and accurately while setting the tone and energy behind the scenes. Your presence helps maintain flow, foster communication, and keep the kitchen focused, collaborative, and full of good vibes, all in service of an unforgettable guest experience. This position is scheduled 4–5 days per week, with hours aligned to the rhythm of service: from pre-shift setup through the very last desserts leaving the pass. Key Responsibilities Review guest orders to ensure they meet both Alma’s standards and individual preferences Inspect dishes for presentation, temperature, portion size, and overall quality before they leave the kitchen Apply finishing touches—garnishes, final wipes, and visual checks—to every plate Act as the communication bridge between the chefs (in Spanish) and the servers/food runners (in English), relaying special requests and updates Call out orders in Spanish, monitor pacing, and coordinate with waitstaff for timely service Ensure all items for a table are sent out together and in the correct course order Resolve any issues with food quality or accuracy before dishes reach the guest Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked expeditor station Uphold food safety standards, including proper temperature and handling Essentials We're Seeking  Fluent in both English and Spanish Strong communication skills in both languages At least 1 year of kitchen experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant Previous experience as kitchen expo  Ability to multitask under pressure with sharp attention to detail Calm, clear communicator between front-of-house and back-of-house teams Quick, accurate ticket reading and order organization across multiple windows Positive attitude and a collaborative, team-first mindset Commitment to high standards and accountability What We Offer Competitive pay Opportunities for cross-training and growth A supportive, dynamic team environment The chance to be part of a restaurant that celebrates culture, flavor, and community To Apply:   Share a brief introduction and your resume through Culinary Agents.
