Line Cook — The Drexel (Miami Beach, FL) Location: 1436 Drexel Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33139Schedule: Evenings / Dinner Shifts (approx. 5:00 PM–10:00 PM)  ?️ About Us The Drexel is a modern-Mediterranean restaurant nestled in the heart of Miami Beach, offering elevated yet approachable dishes with a menu focused on hand made pastas, seasonal vegetables, pizzas cooked in a wood burning oven and meat and seafood cooked over charcoal. Menu changes according to the seasons. The Kitchen is led by culinary Director and long time Thomas Keller alumni Jarrod Huth, as well as Chef de Cuisine Derek Carressi, formally of Mother Wolf and Surf Club Restaurant by Thomas Keller.  Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Line Cook to join our back-of-house team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items during service, maintaining station cleanliness, and collaborating with the kitchen staff to deliver high-quality dishes that reflect The Drexel’s culinary vision. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to The Drexel’s recipes and standards (grill, wood-oven, sauté, etc.). Plate dishes with care, paying attention to presentation and portion control. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout service. Prepare ingredients in advance (mise-en-place), help with prep as needed. Communicate with kitchen team members to ensure timely, coordinated service. Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and health code guidelines. Assist with inventory rotation, storage, and proper labeling of ingredients. Qualifications & Skills Prior experience as a line cook or similar kitchen role preferred. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment — able to keep calm under pressure. Familiarity with Mediterranean-style cooking, grilling, or wood-oven techniques — a plus. Strong knife skills, cooking fundamentals, and ability to follow recipes precisely. Good sense of timing and multitasking during service. Team-oriented attitude, reliable, punctual, and able to communicate clearly with coworkers. Must be able to stand for long periods and operate in a busy kitchen environment (some lifting or carrying may be required).
