Galerie is a standout restaurant and lounge on the Sunset Strip, offering an elevated expression of American cuisine through a Parisian lens and California seasonality. The menu emphasizes bold flavor, creativity, craft, and soul, set within a vibrant environment shaped by art, music, and design. Following a successful opening, we are seeking an experienced Head Chef to take over kitchen leadership and guide the next phase of operations. This role is focused on execution, refinement, and leadership. The incoming Chef will assume an established menu and operational foundation, with the opportunity to thoughtfully elevate, enhance, and evolve the food program over time. You will lead day-to-day back-of-house operations, maintain consistency and excellence, and mentor a strong kitchen team while ensuring the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and professionalism. Key Responsibilities Lead all back-of-house operations and kitchen leadership Execute and maintain the existing menu with consistency and precision Refine, elevate, and enhance dishes and systems as the restaurant evolves Train, mentor, and manage the culinary team, fostering accountability and growth Oversee food costs, labor targets, ordering, inventory, and kitchen systems Ensure excellence in food quality, cleanliness, and safety standards Collaborate closely with ownership and leadership on ongoing improvements and future development Requirements Proven experience as an Executive Chef, Chef de Cuisine or comparable leadership role in a high-volume, full-service restaurant Strong operational background with a focus on consistency, execution, and team leadership Ability to step into an established kitchen and lead confidently from day one Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills Calm, solutions-oriented approach in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Creative and detail-oriented, with a strong sense of refinement and quality control Culinary degree or professional certification preferred Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; 55–60 hours per week An opportunity for an Executive Chef to join a restaurant with a strong foundation and momentum that shows no signs of slowing.
