The Banquet Captain plays a crucial role in overseeing banquet functions in the absence of the Banquet Manager or F&B Manager, while also providing support during events as needed. This position involves collaborating with management to maintain consistent satisfaction for both members and guests, ensuring that their needs are met throughout the event. Additionally, the Banquet Captain works closely with the Catering Manager and other departments to achieve the goals of each event, fostering a seamless experience from planning to execution. •Coordinate and supervise catered events according to client specifications and Banquet Event Orders. •Collaborate with Food and Beverage Managers, Banquet Director, Chefs, and staff to meet personnel requirements for events. •Supervise and direct banquet staff throughout all phases of events. •Communicate changes and updates about events to all relevant departments.• Manage food service timing between the kitchen, service staff, and management. •Prepare and review table diagrams and setup needs for functions. •Conduct pre-function meetings with servers to ensure smooth service; assign server stations and coordinate timing.
