Hematologist/Oncologist

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Hematologist/Oncologist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem. Harlem Hospital is the largest hospital in Central Harlem and the only Safety Net Hospital in Northern Manhattan. Opportunity Details:Conduct wide-ranging research toward the prevention and the treatment of blood disorders such as anemia, sickle-cell disease, leukemia, and hemophilia.Educate medical residents, students, other physicians, and various medical professionals.Provide consultation in both the inpatient and outpatient settings.Assist in developing a robust sickle cell program and assist in the transition of sickle cell patients from pediatrics to adult medicine. Qualifications Fellowship training in Hematology/Oncology.Board Eligible or Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology.Active and unrestricted NY state medical license.Wages and Benefits include:Annual Base Salary: $342,000 (Board Eligible) and $347,000 (Board Certified) based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $471,720 (Board Eligible) and $477,220 (Board Certified), which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $55,520.Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings.
