Server Assistant Server AssistantJob DescriptionThe Server Assistant is responsible for supporting the servers and bartenders in providing excellent customer service to guests. They assist with setting up tables, taking orders, delivering food and drinks, and clearing tables. The Server Assistant also ensures that the dining area is clean and organized, and that guests have everything they need to enjoy their dining experience. Responsibilities: Assist servers and bartenders in providing excellent customer service to guestsSet up tables with appropriate silverware, glassware, and dishesColloborate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth adn efficient serviceDeliver food and drinks to guests in a timely and efficient mannerClear tables and reset them for the next guestsEnsure that the dining area is clean and organized at all timesAssist with cleaning and stocking the bar and kitchen as neededAnswer guest questions and provide recommendations as neededHandle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficientlyPreparing and delivering room service and carryout ordersOperating and cleaning glass washing machine in accordance of sanitation standards Requirements: Prior experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferredAbility to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidaysAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentExcellent customer service and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and ability to stand for long periods of timeAbility to handle emergency and stressful situations like resolving customer conflictsAbility to make quick decisionsAbility to create a positive and welcoming customer experience Benefits: Employee discountFlexible scheduleHealth insurance available Dental insurance availablePaid time offEmployee profit sharing (after 1 year continuous service)Complimentary hotel room on your birthday (after 1 year continuous service) About us: We are a family-owned independent restaurant and hotel located in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
