The Engineering Technician I is responsible for assembly, testing, and diagnosing scroll prototypes, including the test stands on which the units will be tested. They will assist engineers in transitioning products from the prototype phase to production through assembly support, test stand assembly and maintenance, and providing general assembly feedback.Pay Range: $25 - $30 / hour, based on qualifications and experienceCompany Benefits include:Health Insurance through Cigna (optional HSA plan with $10 per pay period matching)Dental and Vision insuranceLong Term Disability Insurance, paid by employerGroup and voluntary life insurance401K Retirement PlanSafety shoe allowance3-weeks PTO accrual and paid holidaysParental LeaveEducational reimbursementCompany Perks include:Flexible 9/80 work schedule with every other Friday offCatered company lunches on a quarterly basisCompany Summer picnic for employees and their familiesDepartment activities budgetCompany Happy Hours, Trivia night and moreCasual dress codeEmployee Referral ProgramEmployee Recognition AwardsEngineering Technician I Job Responsibilities:Assemble, test, and diagnose scroll compressors, vacuum pumps, and expanders with direct oral or written instructions, using engineering drawings as provided by the project engineerAssist Design Engineers with tasks such as developing and documenting assembly proceduresProvide guidance to production assemblers on assembly and test proceduresWire compressors and vacuum pumps to controllers under supervision, using motor and controller drawingsAssist engineers in designing, building, and maintaining test stands based on project specificationsAssemble and install mechanical components, fixtures, and instrumentation on test standsPerform electrical wiring and ensure proper connections for test equipment and data acquisition systemsConduct pressure checks on equipment, compressors, and pumps as directedPerform maintenance of test stands and assembly cellsProvide support during the transition of prototype compressors into productionTroubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical problems with test standsCalibrate test equipment according to established proceduresParticipate in safety meetings and adhere to all safety protocolsWork individually or as part of an assembly teamPerform quality checks of assemblies before shipmentEnsure work area is organized, clean, and safeRegularly lift up to 50 lbs. of raw materials or machine parts, with or without accommodationPerform other required tasks as assignedEngineering Technician I Qualifications:High school diploma or GED (required)Associates degree in mechanical engineering technology or a related field (preferred)Minimum 6 months of experience in a mechanical testing environment or a similar roleBasic understanding of mechanical principles and familiarity with hand toolsExperience with electrical wiring and troubleshooting (preferred)Problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAttention to detail and commitment to qualityWritten and verbal communication skillsLocation: Thornton, ColoradoHow to Apply: Pay Range: $25 - $30 / hour, based on qualifications and experienceFor information on Air Squared, visit our website at If you need an accommodation seeking employment with Air Squared, please email or call .
