We are an industry-leading manufacturing company seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Controller to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our company's financial and accounting functions, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), budgeting, auditing, and reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to apply their skills in a challenging and rewarding environment. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Controller, you will be tasked with the following responsibilities:
1. Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
2. Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts, and report variances.
3. Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
4. Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
5. Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
6. Support month-end and year-end close process.
7. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
8. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
9. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
10. Additional controller duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the role of Permanent Controller, applicants must have the following qualifications:
1. BS in Accounting or Finance, MBA and/or CPA highly preferred.
2. 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.
3. Proven working experience as a Financial Controller in the manufacturing industry.
4. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
5. Experience with creating financial statements.
6. Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
7. Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
9. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
10. Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in managing a team.
