Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant

We are seeking BE/BC Emergency Medicine Physician Assistants for a full-time employed position to join our group in Wilmington, NC community. We are committed to excellence in emergency medicine and offer a supportive and collaborative work environment.Key Responsibilities:Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough initial assessments and triage patients based on the severity of their condition, ensuring timely and appropriate care.Medical Treatment: Administer treatment and provide medical interventions for a wide range of emergency medical conditions, including trauma, cardiac events, respiratory distress, and more.Diagnostic Procedures: Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures such as X-rays, EKGs, and laboratory tests to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.Medication Management: Administer medications, including intravenous, oral, and intramuscular medications, as prescribed by the attending physician.Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, including patient histories, assessments, interventions, and discharge instructions.Collaborative Care: Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.Patient Education: Provide patients and their families with clear and empathetic explanations of diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.Emergency Procedures: Assist in emergency procedures, including intubation, CPR, and other life-saving interventions as needed.Compliance: Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and facility policies to ensure compliance and patient safety.Qualifications:Current North Carolina Physician Assistant license and certification.Previous experience in emergency medicine or a related field is preferred.Strong clinical skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.ACLS and PALS certification (or willingness to obtain).Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.Community:Wilmington, North Carolina, is a charming and vibrant coastal city known for its rich history, picturesque waterfront, and thriving community.
