Overview
Summary/Objective
The position of a Torque Technician involves executing technical bolting and joint integrity services in accordance with approved site and Company procedures. A Torque Technician performs work to maximize the quality of the Company while meeting client expectations and ensuring a safe working environment.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions
- Conduct planning, assembly, and inspection.
- Maintain documentation of technical bolting service activities.
- Perform technical bolting services on client work sites.
- Utilize various tools like hydraulic torque wrenches and bolt measuring.
- Identify and implement proper safety procedures.
- Adhere to safety standards and practices.
- Attend required trainings and pass drug/alcohol testing.
- Perform other assigned duties.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Other Duties
Duties and activities may change at any time while being job-related.
Work Environment
This job operates in a petrochemical/refinery environment with exposure to various conditions and chemicals.
Physical Demands
The Torque Technician role involves physical activities such as bending, climbing, lifting, and working in confined spaces.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a project-based position with variable hours and common overtime.
Travel
Expect extensive travel and overnight stays.

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent work experience, basic problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Preferred Education and Experience:
12 months related experience, First Aid and CPR trained, Class 'A' driver's license, and a valid TWIC.
