Position Details:

Full-time, Part-time, and Per diem schedulesSetting: Primary care, internal medicine, urgent care, and specialtyBenefits and incentive award eligibility for Full-time and Part-time roles

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality patient care through face-to-face, telephone, and electronic contact for examination, treatment, monitoring, and preparation for diagnostic tests or proceduresCollect and document patient information, including vital signs, chief complaint, review of medications, allergies, health risk screen information, the status of extended care benefits, and other servicesAssist physicians and nursing personnel with injections, EKGs, phlebotomy, and other patient care procedures as directedCoordinate patient care as directed by physicians, company standards, and policiesAssist with tasks, phone calls, and messages; document all actions takenProper, concise, and complete EMR documentation and paper-based documentation for all assessments and proceduresPrepare and clean patient rooms and set up instruments and equipment according to protocol while maintaining infection control

Required Qualifications:

Completion of a Medical Assistant programBasic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or willing to obtain by date of hireMedical Assistant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Phlebotomy certificationElectronic Medical Records (EMR) experienceBilingual English and Spanish

California Residents Only: The hourly range for this role is $16.00 to $23.94 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
