Position Overview


Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is currently seeking a Subsystem Installation Design Engineer to join the Advanced Development Programs (ADP) team in Fort Worth, Texas.

Join us in revolutionizing the design of aircraft equipment and systems installations.
Responsibilities

  • Design aircraft Equipment installation including Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) and associated hardware; Create layouts for aircraft tubes and harness assemblies for Fuel, Hydraulic, Environmental Control Systems, and Electrical Systems; Design routing for aircraft Fluid and Electrical systems with associated bracketry
  • Conduct trade studies to optimize form, fit, and function of equipment installations
  • Develop equipment layouts, systems, and harness interfaces
  • Generate detailed BuildtoPackages for parts, assemblies, and installations
  • Collaborate with other technical disciplines for seamless integration at the aircraft level

Requirements

Seeking a versatile team player with effective communication skills and the ability to prioritize tasks for efficient goal achievement. Proficiency in CATIA, SolidWorks, or other CAD tools is required. US Citizenship is a must for this role, along with the ability to obtain a government security clearance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Aerospace Engineering
  • Proficiency in 3DX, CATIA, Solidworks, or equivalent 3D CAD software
  • Experience in creating/modifying drawings

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in aircraft equipment installation design and troubleshooting
  • Proficiency in aircraft fluid or electrical installation design and troubleshooting
  • Experience with metallic design
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Base Salary Range:


Base salary range varies by location. California, New York, Colorado, Hawaii, Washington, and Washington DC offer competitive compensation.

Salaries are determined based on various factors including candidate's qualifications, position scope, and market conditions.
