Position Overview for Cell Test Manager

As a Cell Test Manager, you will be at the forefront of leading and expanding the cell test team's capabilities to successfully launch our cutting-edge electric vehicle platform. Collaboration with cell design specialists, modeling engineers, and vehicle performance experts will be pivotal in devising comprehensive test strategies and overseeing their implementation. Additionally, you will actively engage with various departments to enhance testing accuracy and efficiency through meticulous methodologies and measurement adjustments.

Key Responsibilities

Key Focus Areas:
  • Steer the growth and development of the cell testing team
  • Establish and outline test criteria for cell analysis, safety assessments, and future chemistry evaluations
  • Create detailed plans for cell-level tests to define essential cell properties for precise specifications and algorithmic controls
  • Evaluate test outcomes to refine data quality, maximizing performance and dependability
  • Lead or contribute to disassembling cells for present and upcoming chemical compositions
Desired Qualifications

Prerequisites for Success:
  • Proficiency in lithium-ion cell chemistry and fundamental electrochemistry concepts
  • Familiarity with electrical testing tools utilized in battery cell assessments
  • Proven track record in test organization and oversight utilizing platforms like JAMA and JIRA
  • Aptitude for assimilating new techniques, suggesting experimental designs, and autonomously executing tasks
  • Some exposure to battery test equipment scripting (AVL Lynx)
  • Effective written and oral communication abilities
  • A keenness to collaborate widely in a dynamic setting as part of an accomplished team
  • An integrated approach to design and test procedures coupled with a drive for exceptional performance delivery and ongoing enhancement
