Security Systems Administrator Role at SoundWay

ROLE DESCRIPTION
  • As a Level 4 Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for the orchestration, support, and enhancement of a critical set of applications and services for a key Directorate within the U.S. Intelligence Community.
  • Manage system resources such as CPU and disk usage to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct system security tasks like creating user accounts and profiles.
  • Offer Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for issue identification and resolution.
  • Implement and harden Linux systems.
  • Additional responsibilities:
    • User account setup, system documentation maintenance, performance tuning, and software installation.
    • Collaborate with users, assess vendor products, and make hardware/software recommendations.
    • Develop and enforce policies for resource allocation.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Education
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Certification(s)
  • Security+ OR other active IAT II/III
  • Experience
  • Minimum of 8 years relevant experience.
  • In-depth Linux proficiency with recent experience required, particularly in cloud environments.
  • AWS experience and familiarity with server provisioning and maintenance.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, communication abilities, and documentation expertise.
  • Nice to have:
    • Experience with Agile scrum teams and ElasticSearch.
    • Cloud technologies (EC2s, S3, Elasticache), Kafka, Openshift, Docker, Keycloak, Wildfly.
    • Knowledge of PKI certificates, SSL, and service accounts.
    • Maintenance of various environment types (physical, virtual, cloud) and involvement in security audits.
