Key Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Engineer at HDR, you will be responsible for: Leading mechanical design activities within multidisciplinary project teams Designing HVAC and plumbing systems for diverse commercial and industrial projects Ensuring code compliance through coordination with governing agencies Managing workload to deliver project documents on time Collaborating with various disciplines for seamless project execution Conducting on-site work sessions and document reviews Developing mechanical specifications and selecting appropriate equipment Providing construction contract administration support Performing quality assurance on mechanical project deliverables Assisting in resolving project-related issues and changes Undertaking additional duties as required
Qualifications

Minimum RequirementsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with Mechanical focus Licensed Professional Engineer (Mechanical) 5 years of experience in HVAC and plumbing system design Proficiency in MS Office, Trane TRACE, or similar software Prior experience with architectural/engineering consulting firms Commitment to our employee-owned culture Preferred QualificationsExperience with Revit MEP is advantageous Background in healthcare facility projects is a plus Interest in sustainable design or LEED accreditation is desirable Master's degree in Architectural Engineering with Mechanical specialization Preference for local candidates Why Choose HDR
