About Our Career Opportunity
Summit Diagnostic Center at Fountain City is seeking a Mammography Technologist to join their team. This is a Full time opportunity, working 8:00am-4:30pm.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
(List does not include all duties assigned)
Greets patient and provides instructions on procedures.
Positions patient and adjusts equipment, selecting length and intensity for radiation exposure on individual basis. Observes patient for vital signs during procedure.
Follows safety standards and uses radiation protection when operating radiologic equipment.
Examines digital images for technical quality and diagnostic acceptability
Sends images to PACS and set up proper hanging protocols.
Releases patient upon completion of examination.
Demonstrates current competencies for job position.
Maintains strict confidentiality.
Adheres to all aspects of the corporate compliance plan.
Performs related tasks as requested by supervisor.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Completed accredited course in radiologic technology or Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology.
CERTIFICATION/
LICENSE:
Current certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and Registered Technologist Radiology & Mammography. Current state permit/license as general diagnostic radiographer.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of two years experience in radiology imaging modalities; one year of mammography experience preferred.
