Role Overview:

As a GIS Technician, you will be responsible for managing and utilizing data effectively for our Engineering/GIS clients.

Job Responsibilities:

• Compile various geographical data such as satellite images and aerial photographs.
• Research and validate geographic information.
• Input new data into the GIS database.
• Create maps using GIS software.
• Ensure accurate and annotated maps.
• Prepare reports utilizing GIS and GPS data.
• Maintain the GIS database and resolve data issues.
• Visit geographical sites for field data collection.
• Collaborate with designers and engineers to offer GIS solutions.
• Assist in project planning and scope development.
• Propose timely and effective GIS solutions.
• Graphically represent GIS data.
• Analyze spatial relationships in GIS data.
• Review data for accuracy and completeness.
• Contribute to the establishment of GIS standards.
• Knowledge of relevant OS, software, and programs.
• Assess system functionality and efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Associate's Degree in GIS or related field.
• 1-2 years of GIS work experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Esri's Web GIS software and other geospatial technologies.

This position is based in Minot, ND, with occasional travel.
