Our Jacksonville facility, approximately 120,000 square feet, is a fast paced operation that provides high level quality service to our Southeast membership base. We are currently seeking qualified Material Handler II candidates for our 2nd Shift Receiving Department to operate power equipment (order picker (cherry picker) and/or reach truck) to put away and replenish product accurately and efficiently, and ensure that products are readily available for order fillers. Core hours for this position are normally 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM, Monday - Friday; however, for these Seasonal positions, we are looking for candidates that can work from 12:00 PM until the replenishments are complete for the day.

**Position Responsibilities:**

Operates a reach truck and/or order picker in a safe and efficient manner to put away, move, locate, and stack checked in products to correct storage locations on a daily basis. This includes stocking picking stock, filling bin boxes, facing cartons, checking for product mixing, and rotating product where needed; monitoring stock on shelves or bins; replenishing picking stock from reserves; maintaining control of products in reserve stock area.

Receives product into the Distribution Center by unloading trucks using forklift, pallet jack, electric pallet or by hand.

Ensures shipments received are in good condition and accurate by: inspecting freight for damage and signing freight bills; verifying quantity ordered versus quantity received; checking all shipments against packing lists; and completing necessary paperwork for reimbursements or discrepancies.

Ensures all required product has verified bar code labels and human readable Johnstone stock numbers by scanning products, printing labels, resolving labeling discrepancies, and completing necessary paperwork.

Maintains current department accuracy and efficiency standards, and follows department standard operating procedures.

Maintains a safe work environment by working in a safe manner, following current Distribution safety rules, maintaining equipment, and maintaining a clean work area.

Completing any additional tasks or duties designated by the Receiving Supervisor and/or Distribution Center Manager.

**Position Requirements:**

A high school diploma or general education degree (GED).

1 to 3 months previous Material Handler/Warehouse experience highly preferred.

Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 70 pounds.

Handheld RF Scanner experience a plus.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to effectively and safely operate a reach truck and/or an order picker (cherry picker).

Ability to follow instructions and procedures.

Ability to organize and prioritize work.

Ability to attend to details.

Ability to work with others in a team-based environment.

Ability to complete routine paperwork.
