Remede Consulting Group is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Manchester, New Hampshire.

This is a high risk L&D unit with an average delivery volume of 2100 deliveries per year. We accept transfer ins as we have a MFM outpatient consultation, however the OB manages the patients. All OB practices and family practice doctors are private entities with delivery privileges. No hospital owned providers, no laborists. Only family practice will have midwife coverage. Level 3 NICU in hospital. Not LDRP. Must circulate for c-sections.

OB in house 24/7

REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP:
Minimum Years of Experience: 3 years experience required
Traveler Experience: No first time travelers
Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: Travelers located within 50 miles will receive a $15 rate decrease
Skills: Initial resuscitation - neonatal,
Required Skills - Work Settings: Labor and Delivery, High Risk Antepartum, Level I Nursery, Mother/Baby
Required Skills - Antepartum Care and Procedures: Assist with sterile speculum exam (effacement, dilation, station, presentation), NST (Non Stress Tests), Reflex checks / edema assessment / clonus, Sterile vaginal exam, Triage of obstetrical patients, Use of EFM (External Fetal Heart Monitoring)
Required Skills - Fetal Monitoring: Use of External Fetal Monitoring, Use of Internal Fetal Monitoring, Use of IUPC (Intrauterine pressure catheter) placement and calibration, Recognition and Treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
Required Skills - IV therapy/Phlebotomy: Start & maintain peripheral IV
Required Skills - Medication & Administration: Anticoagulants, Anticonvulsants, Antihypertensives, Insulin drips, Magnesium Sulfate therapy, Pitocin (oxytocin), Prostaglandins, Terbutaline, Omnicell
Required Skills - Labor and Delivery Management: Amnioinfusion, Assist with high risk delivery, Assist with vaginal delivery, Circulate for C-section, Forceps/vacuum extraction, Hemorrhage/shock, Recover C-Section, ub for C-Section , Sterile vaginal exam
Required Skills - Neonatal Care in Delivery Room: APGAR scores, Baby Nurse ("Baby Catcher"), Collect cord samples, ID/Security Banding, Radiant Warmers/Thermoregulation
Required Skills - Newborn Care: Assist with Circumcision/Assess site post-op, Car Seat Education, Cord Care, Discharge teaching to parents, Infant Identification, Metabolic Screen, Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome, Newborn Assessment, Newborn hypoglycemia, Phototherapy, Teach Circumcision care to parents, Thermoregulation
Required Skills - Pain Management: Epidural Anesthesia, General Anesthesia, Nitrous Oxide, Pain assessment & management, Use of PCA (IV)
Required Skills - Postpartum Care of the Patient with: Vaginal Delivery, Cesarean Section, Couplet Care, Multiple Births, Postpartum Hemorrhage, Pregnancy induced hypertension

Shift: 12hr Nights 7p-7:30a, 36 hours accepted
Call Requirement: None
Float Requirement: Will float to Mother Baby and expected to take a full 4 couplet assignment, antepartum, GYN surgical patients. Will also float to Suicidal 1:1's throughout the hospital
Floating Expectations

•Helping Hands/ Team Nursing approach

•Will assist in being Floated to ICU and ED for helping hands

•Patient Sitting 1:1 for SI
You will not take a patient that does not match your clinical assignment or team
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend required
