Duties

You will perform abrasive blast on the exterior and interior of ships and submarines above and below ground level from various heights.

You will perform just-in-time diagnostic and troubleshooting to prevent loss of product.
You will ensure other workers follow instructions received from supervisors to meet deadlines.

You will assure safety and housekeeping rules are followed (for example, assuring that limits of safe machine operation are not exceeded and that all tools are used properly).

You will ensure that needed plans, blueprints, materials, and tools are available, and that needed stock is obtained from supply locations.

Requirements Conditions of Employment
This position may require rotating shift work.
You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
This is a Mission Essential position.

You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

Work requires the ability to lift and carry items weighing 60 pounds.

Work requires the ability to climb ladders and stairs, walk, crawl, stand, stoop, crouch, kneel, bend, and sit to push, pull, lift and manipulate tools, parts and equipment.

Work is performed in shops, aboard ships and submarines which require working in uncomfortable and cramped or confined positions.
This position may require rotating shift work
You will be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
