A Line Cook is a dedicated professional responsible for crafting all menu items efficiently and consistently while adhering to company guidelines and techniques. It requires someone with a service-oriented approach, a keen eye for quality, and a love for creating exceptional dining moments.
Our Line Cooks possess extensive knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment. They work with precision, speed, and follow industry best practices to ensure top-notch results.
Responsibilities:
- Hold a Food Handler ServSafe Certification
- Prepare and organize stations with necessary items and cookware
- Handle food preparation tasks including butchering, slicing, and cooking different food items
- Cook various ingredients using different kitchen tools and equipment
- Ensure dishes meet quality standards and are beautifully presented
- Follow instructions from chefs and supervisors
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in work areas
- Manage inventory and storage following proper procedures
- Coordinate food serving timings
- Engage positively with team members and customers
- Assist with inventory and maintenance tasks
- Comply with safety and health regulations
- Stay updated on industry standards and regulations
- Attend meetings and functions as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Culinary Certification preferred
- Food Handler's Safety Certification required
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Passion for quality food, especially farm-to-table cuisine
- Good understanding of professional kitchen practices
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic knowledge of restaurant operations
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Capacity to work independently and in a team
- Resolve customer issues professionally
- Physically fit to handle kitchen demands
