$18 per hourJob SummaryAs a Utilities Plumber Helper, you are responsible for assisting the Plumber with running new water waste lines to existing buildings and tying in from city taps. Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist with utility work including shovelingAssist with water line installationAssist with sewer line installationAssist with backflow preventer installationsCreating and delivering materials for jobAssist the Service Plumber with interpreting the blueprints and building specifications to map layout for pipes, drainage systems, and other plumbing materials in residential buildings.

Assist the Plumber with Installing supports for pipes, equipment, and fixtures prior to installationLearn to assemble fittings and valves for installation and modify the lengths of pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing materials.

Assist the service plumber to collaborate with other construction workers, such as contractors, construction workers, electricians, pipefitters, and steamfitters in installing and repairing plumbingLearn to perform tests, analysis, and inspections of plumbing systems to identify problems and replacing worn parts.

Assist with maintaining good working order of Company vehicle.

Includes:
refueling and servicing as necessary, reporting mechanical issues, washing, and cleaning the Company vehicle on a regular basis.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Work DaysNormal work schedule is Monday through Friday but must have the flexibility to work weekends, holidays and afterhours, when required.

Willing to work overtime, when the situation arises.

Qualifications/ RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED equivalentExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilityAbility to work well with co-workersMust have a valid Driver's LicensePhysical RequirementsMust be able to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, twist, and bend for extended periods of time.

Lift and carry material weighing up to 75 lbs; occasionally lifting items weighing more than 100 lbs with assistance.
Ability to climb and utilize a ladder safely.
Good physical fitness; hand-eye coordination and ability to quickly respond to sounds.
Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, including outdoors in times of excessive heat and inclement weather.
