Are you a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher seeking an opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of middle school students? Soliant Education is currently seeking a Special Education Teacher to join our team in the Avon, South Dakota area. In this role, you will work in a resource setting, providing essential support and guidance to students in middle school.

Position Details:

  • Onsite: This position requires onsite presence in the Avon, South Dakota area, ensuring direct support and interaction with students, teachers, and staff.
  • Full-Time: This is a full-time position, providing consistent support to students and collaborating with school staff.
  • Resource Setting: You will work in a resource setting, providing individualized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs.
  • Middle School Focus: You will primarily work with middle school students, delivering instruction and interventions tailored to their needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs.
  • Provide direct instruction and support to students in a resource setting, adapting teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to create inclusive learning environments that promote student success.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed to meet individualized goals.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress, behavior, and IEP goals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Valid state teaching certification in Special Education.
  • Experience working with middle school students in a resource setting preferred.
  • Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
