We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Westminsterto assist with the appointment of a Qualified Senior Building Control Surveyor, on a 2-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £ £364.27 per day

Responsibilities:

  • Review plans for a diverse range of construction projects.
  • Conduct on-site inspections to ensure compliance with building regulations.
  • Provide Building Control advice through various channels (phone, email, in person).
  • Inspect dangerous structures during regular working hours.
  • Participate in the out-of-hours dangerous structures rota.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections and correspondence.
  • Support the training of Trainee and Assistant Surveyors.
  • Assist the Principal Surveyor and Head of Building Control with additional team duties.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in construction or equivalent qualification, preferably with a Band C Building Control Surveyor Registration (BSR) qualification.
  • Full corporate membership status with a recognized professional body such as RICS, CABE, or CIOB.
  • Minimum of seven years' experience in Building Control.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop both soft and technical skills.
  • Strong team player with a sense of responsibility.
