Job DescriptionOne of our top clients is an Aerospace Engineering Company, established over 30 years ago. Our Client has 250+ employees and is looking for additional Mechanical Engineers to amplify their team.

The company is specialized in Engine Development with 7 offices around the USA, including:
Florida, South Carolina, Oklahoma and California.

They are constantly pushing the boundaries of whats possible in turbine/engine design, development and performance.

Turbine Engineer provides expertise with assessment, development, repair, and exchange of several of the following mechanical systems components including main bearing systems, yaw systems, gearboxes, hydraulic system, cooling systems, blades and structural components.


Hours of Operation:
Monday
  • Friday 8:00AM 5:00PMCoordinate with the suppliers to improve the quality of raw materials, qualify new vendors and assist in process changes or new product developmentLead the design, development, testing and analysis of advanced technology gas turbine engines, considering cost, performance, operability and reliabilityDesign, develop, test and analyze advanced, operability, reliability, and emissions working as a member of a design teamInterpret engineering drawings and specifications against physical parts to investigate non conformances and effectively document and communicate findingsAnalyze internal and external qualify data to identify high impact and recurring defect modes to drive meaningful corrective actionsDetermine root cause of non conformances and implement corrective actions both internally and externallyMaintain familiarity with manufacturing processes and practices in order to continuously improve manufacturing qualityTechnical evaluation of Gas Turbine components, assessing the existing designs and condition of equipment to develop technical recommendations for cost effective solutionsImplement modern design tools and develop improved design methods and tools to continually advance our client's competitiveness and product integrity.

Interface with vendors to keep up to date on technology advancements that can be applied to reduce costs or increase performance and / or reliabilityCommunicate technical requirements and background with customers through service bulletins, documentation, and customer meetingsEnhance mechanical system records and documentation to improve ongoing service operationsRequirementsMasters or BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a four-year accredited college or university.

3+ years of experience as a Gas Turbine or Turbo MachineryUnigraphics (UG) experienceCAD/CAE SystemSupport Cell Goals for Continuous Improvement through Six Sigma and Lean methodology, and by coaching Quality Thursday ideas generated by techniciansPrepare and present cell quality data weekly to plant leadership, including progress towards quality targets, current challengers and corrective actionsEthics: Treats people with respect, keeps commitments; inspires the trust of others; works with integrity and ethically; uphold's client's Values and Beliefs StatementSafeguarding Intellectual Property by adhering to and enforcing information management policies and procedures including implementing appropriate measures to maintain confidentiality of data
