Who We Are:

The Springfield City School District, home to The John Legend Theatre, is looking for a Paraprofessional at Snyder Park Elementary School for the school year. We are a Division I District serving around 7,500 Pre-K through grade 12 students, with 17 modern buildings in west-central Ohio. The district embraces diversity among its students, faculty, and staff, aiming for academic and extracurricular excellence with initiatives like the YouMedia Center, providing activities such as 3-D printing and videography.

As a Paraprofessional you are required to:

  • A High School diploma or equivalent
  • Meet the NCLB certification requirements
  • Obtain an Ohio Teacher's Educational Aide Certification
  • Complete training in various areas of child development and health

As a Paraprofessional you will:

  • Support Teachers in delivering educational benefits to students
  • Assist students with academic tasks and physical needs
  • Help Teachers with various classroom activities and attend training sessions
  • Engage in physical activities to assist students throughout the school day

What We Offer:

As a contracted employee, this position involves 7 hours of work per day for 192 days a year. Working hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 3:30pm. Starting salary is $18.73 per hour with additional benefits and professional development opportunities. Employees also receive a $1,500 bonus in November.

Please note, this position is for the 24/25 school year starting in August.
