Summary of Primary Function/Scope:

Clinical Lead is a practicing clinician who is willing to mentor, develop, and provide direct support to a group of clinicians serving patients within the Clinical Leads' primary market. Ensuring therapists are prepared to meet IHT standards of quality and patient outcomes is also an essential aspect of the role. The Clinical Lead reports to the Clinical Director who is ultimately responsible for clinician performance, development, compliance, and meeting IHT quality standards.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a RISE ambassador, communicating and educating all partners to the IHT commitment to Quality
  • Serves as a consistent resource for region-specific onboarding/new hire check-ins through the first 90- days for the assigned therapist and available ongoing to retained therapists.
  • Coordinates shadowing and Competency Assessments for new hires and existing clinicians' annual assessments in collaboration with the Clinical Director.
  • Supports performance management protocols and ensures engagement for all therapists prioritizing those therapists that fall outside the acceptable rating range established and/or C-level performers for the discipline practiced.
  • Fulfills responsibilities of a treating clinician as defined in the Job Description for the license held
  • Available to market to support agency calls, clinical interviews, or other initiatives that support the needs of therapists.
Fulfill other roles and responsibilities as needed in alignment with scope of the position.

Education/Experience:
  • Current licensure to practice Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapy.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in healthcare preferred.
  • Two years of management experience in a home health or related healthcare organization.
Other Knowledge, Skills, and Capabilities:
  • Keep current with all changes or updates in Medicare regulations or procedures. And update the clinical personnel on such changes.
  • Maintain membership of the National Professional Association.
  • Interfaces with Clinical Director to resolve any clinical issues when needed
