Technical Operations/Maintenance

United Airlines boasts a top-notch fleet maintained by our skilled Technical Operations team. From maintenance technicians to engineers, this elite group ensures that each aircraft is in optimal condition for flight. Position Overview and Responsibilities

The Manager-Quality Assurance oversees a comprehensive audit and surveillance program to guarantee compliance with company and Federal Aviation Regulations. Leading a team of auditors, this role involves evaluating business processes, management systems, and vendor services for United Airlines. Responsibilities include:
  • Auditing and certifying vendor quality systems for maintenance services
  • Investigating non-compliance events and recommending corrective actions
  • Providing mentorship to audit teams and ensuring professional development
  • Acting as a quality assurance consultant and liaison for regulatory matters
  • Collaborating with industry audit organizations and government agencies
  • Managing FAA documentation and regulatory disclosures

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in an aviation-related field
  • Five years of experience in aircraft maintenance and inspection
  • Extensive knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations and company policies
  • Strong interpersonal, writing, critical thinking, and leadership skills
  • Ethical and compliance-driven approach
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview process
  • Punctuality and reliability in attendance
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ten years of aircraft maintenance experience, including five years in Quality Assurance
  • Master's degree or equivalent work experience
  • FAA certifications and Quality Management/Auditing certifications
  • Previous managerial roles and industry certifications in quality
  • Experience in internal and external audits for air carriers
  • Strong collaboration and team-building skills
