The Service Center Specialist serves as the first point of contact for all field personnel employment-related inquiries. The Service Center Specialist receives, analyzes and coordinates information in order to support our field personnel and maintain our database of field personnel information.

Hours: Full Time
Location: Richmond, VA
Compensation: Commensurate to experience + Competitive benefits

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains field personnel and family data in Workday with accuracy and integrity, including entering new personnel information and changes to status, payroll, family, field supervisory organization, and other organization changes, for use by all IMB offices.
  • Coordinates all necessary clearances for field personnel and notifies personnel of the final approval for them to travel to the field.
  • Provides timely service to field personnel as the resource person concerning field human resources policy, including longevity, stateside assignment, retirement eligibility, withdrawal from service, etc.
  • Diagnoses, researches, and resolves problems with complete resolution and follow-up.
  • Maintains the official, confidential, paper and electronic personnel files for all field personnel, including the I-9 forms.
  • Communicates authorized field personnel information to IMB staff and family of field personnel while maintaining appropriate security of field personnel.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree, preferred.
  • At least one year of related experience.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite, especially MS EXCEL and MS OUTLOOK .
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of personnel data and information.
  • Strong organization skills and time-management abilities.
  • Previous Workday experience is a plus.
