National Aerospace Solutions, LLC is the team selected by the U.S. Air Force to conduct Test and Operations Sustainment at the Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC) at Arnold Air Force Base in Tennessee. AEDC operates more than 55 aerodynamic and propulsion wind tunnels, rocket and turbine engine test cells, space environmental chambers, arc heaters, ballistic ranges and other specialized units located in six states. Many of the complex's test units have capabilities unmatched elsewhere in the United States; some are unique in the world. AEDC is one of three installations which are part of the Air Force Test Center (AFTC), one of six subordinate commands of the Air Force Materiel Command organization, and an important national resource.

AEDC's mission is to conduct developmental test and evaluation for the Nation through modeling, simulation, and ground and flight test. Execution of the mission requires a large team of highly qualified and dedicated professionals from multiple technical disciplines to effectively accomplish the objectives of our test customers.

Job Duties:
  • Analyze and resolve Business Systems application issues within SLA limits.
  • Create and monitor Helpdesk tickets in Remedy.
  • Strong customer service skills and a can-do attitude.
  • Design and modify code, participate in code reviews, and develop complex business applications programs.
  • Interface with requirement stakeholders to determine expected application functionality, gather requirements, and suggest technical solutions for business processes.
  • Perform software lifecycle aspects including requirements documentation, application design and design documentation, development, unit testing, and implementation support.
  • Provide Tier 1 and 2 end user troubleshooting support for Business Systems through the ticket support system.
  • Remediate and support efforts on any critical issues with Business Systems outside of normal assigned shift.
  • Participate in the use of common work processes and procedures within assigned function across the TOS contract.
  • Provide information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
  • Ensure Cybersecurity requirements are consistently documented, maintained, evaluated and compliant for Government IT system networks including components of systems.
  • Periodically evaluate process and program effectiveness and takes action to maintain continuous improvement.
  • Provides end-user training on Business Systems applications.
  • Train with DBAs to learn Oracle and SQL database administration.
  • Follows all safety rules and procedures and contributes to the safety of co-workers and the general public.
  • Willing and able to follow instruction, assist in training of co-workers, and cooperate with other employees, customers, and contractors.
  • It is a condition of employment to wear company issued PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
  • B.S. degree in Computer Engineering, Science, or Information Systems and 2 to 4 years of progressive and relevant experience. Additional progressive and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal degree.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification.
  • Current U.S. citizenship.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years' experience with Helpdesk or software support.
  • DD8570 compliant, IAT Level II certification to include CompTIA certifications and computing environment certificate such as Windows Server and/or OS Fundamentals
  • Experience with the following: Visual Studio, Toad for Oracle, SQL Server Management Studio, Visio, Dimensions, SVN, GitHub, Microsoft Office, Windows 10 & Windows Server OS application environments, Power BI, SQL Server Reporting Services, etc.
  • Experience with Oracle and SQL databases.
  • Must display aptitude, adaptability, and the ability to learn.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with customers and teammates.
  • Skilled at building and maintaining personnel and customer relationships.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
  • Active DoD security clearance.
