Simulation Technician

Job Description

The Opportunity:
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott is seeking a Simulation Tech to join our Flight Simulation team.

In this position, you will provide assistance to the manager of the flight simulation department to include hands-on technical/mechanical repairs, programming, configuration, and calibration.

You will need to use critical thinking skills related to flight training devices (simulators), and interactive systems.

Qualifications:

Required education

High School (or GED) level ability in grammar, spelling, basic composition, and math. Concentration in technology or computer science preferred.

Required skills, knowledge, abilities:
Windows 7, 10, 11, iPad/iPhone, Safari, DOS (rare), X-plane, Prepar3d, VR/MR/AR technologies.

Must know how to use hand tools, or willing to learn (as needed) to repair/replace mechanical components of flight simulators.

Must be willing to be a team player and possess effective communication skills as needed for daily tasks.
