Job Summary for Saturdays:

As a Reach Truck Operator, your duties will involve continuously filling empty bin locations with available stock and ensuring that all received products are properly placed in the correct bin locations to maintain product availability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Organize all products following inventory control guidelines
  • Remove shrink wrap from pallets once placed in the correct bin location
  • Wrap pallets securely, inspect pallet conditions, and stack them safely for transportation to storage
  • Promptly report any damages and inventory discrepancies
  • Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the dock and facility areas
  • Adhere to all food safety, housekeeping, and other relevant standards
  • Refill empty pick bins
  • Perform other assigned duties

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required. Warehouse experience preferred. Reach truck experience necessary. Must pass the operational fork truck test with a score of 80% or higher. Able to handle requests from various sources and prioritize them. Basic math skills essential for accurate pallet counts and identification. Attention to detail crucial. Capable of working at elevated heights while wearing Personal Protective Equipment for the job. Proficient at following directions using the headset selection system. Flexible availability required, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Environmental Job Conditions:

  • Lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 100 lbs. occasionally
  • Engage in frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, and squatting in a refrigerated warehouse environment
  • Perform tasks such as grasping, reaching, pushing, or pulling on a frequent basis
  • Work safely at heights of up to 36 feet in the rack system occasionally
  • Build pallets up to 6 feet tall with case weights up to 50 pounds
  • Endure continuous, fast-paced work
  • Experience fluctuating temperatures within the perishable DC
  • Work while wearing appropriate PPE specific to the job
  • Handle products that may contain food allergens
  • Operate various equipment after training, including computers, handheld trackers, scanners, etc.

In compliance with Pay Transparency requirements, the compensation range for this position at BJ's Wholesale Club starts from $25.00.
