Summary
We have an opening for Warehouse Clerk on 1st shift (8am-5pm).

These clerical roles are an essential function within our warehouse that will maintain data and ensure our clients on-time delivery.

Interacting and problem-solving with customers and brokers/forwarders regarding shipments in transit and verifying status is a critical function of the role.

Pay rate will be based on which clerical role and also based on experience and knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Data Entry/Maintain Spreadsheets and be able to create formulas
  • Help manage communications with our shipping carriers to book shipments
  • Able to prepare custom paperwork
  • Knowledge in Tariff codes/DOC regulations
  • Invoicing
  • Investigate claims (Shortages etc.)

  • Carry out tasks as assigned by the Warehouse Manager or Customer Service Department

Requirements:

Must have 1-2 years prior clerical experience in warehousing

Communication - listening to others is essential to understand their needs, and the ability to explain information clearly ensures everyone is on the same page.

  • Communicate with internal purchasing, sales, local warehouse as well as remote warehouse locations to keep track of new, pending, and inprogress shipments

Physical Requirements - being fit and having a good stamina are essential for lifting, bending, and standing for prolonged periods of time

Organization - keeping records up to date to make information retrieval quick and efficient

Multi-Tasking - with demands coming in from various sources, must be able to prioritize tasks

Problem Solving - keeping calm and thinking through unanticipated situations enables operations to get back on track

Computer Literate - must be proficient with Microsoft, specifically Excel and have accurate keyboard skills and proven ability to enter data at the required speed

  • Correct spelling and strong knowledge of grammar, and punctuation
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned by your manager
