Job Description and Duties

This position is located in the city of Laguna Hills

This is a 12-month limited term position that may be extended and/or may become permanent pending budget approval.


Under the direction of the Chief of Community Resources Development, Staff Services Manager II, the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) functions as a neutral liaison between Community Rehabilitation Programs (CRPs) and District staff, provides varied and complex assistance and consultative services to Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) staff of all levels and CRPs in the areas of: community resources to meet District and consumer service needs; complying with certification and/or accreditation requirements; meeting State and federal regulations; and investigation of critical incidents.

The AGPA also serves as project lead for section or division projects and participates as assigned in departmental workgroups.

Using initiative, good judgment and resourcefulness, the AGPA must analyze situations independently and resolve problems effectively with little or no direction.

This position will have a hybrid work environment. Travel is required to meet with and maintain relationships with Community Rehabilitation Programs (CRPs) across a broad geographic area.


The applicant must demonstrate good oral communication skills; have a strong background in writing and the ability to convey diverse and sensitive messages to target demographics; experience in providing direct technical assistance to outside and internal groups; ability to exercise a high degree of independence in carrying out assigned duties and to maintain cooperative working relationships with our providers.
